How To Make Bread At Home | Easy Bread Recipe for Diabetics

Bread is very popular food all over the world. It is used for making sandwiches, toast, and many more dishes. Bread comes in multiple types, such as wheat bread, whole wheat bread, multi-grain bread, and more.

We usually buy bread from stores, but the concern is that bread often has additives and preservatives. Store-bought bread often contains chemicals that extend shelf life and lack nutritional value. Store-bought bread also contains high glycemic load ingredients which can increase blood sugar & blood pressure levels.

Have you ever tried to make bread at home? Believe me, it’s very easy. You don’t need big equipment to make bread. You can easily make delicious, crispy bread at home.

Here we are sharing very easy bread recipe that you can make at home. In this recipe, we used low Estimated Glycemic Load (EGL) ingredients that don’t impact your blood sugar level and also taste like normal bread.

Important Ingredients In Baking Bread

  • 224g NutroActive Almond Atta – This atta is made of whole almonds which are low in carbs, making it beneficial for people with diabetes. It is rich in vitamins & minerals.
  • 370g Mozzarella cheese – It is Portuguese cheese. It has protein, calcium, vitamins, and minerals which are very beneficial for health.
  • 57g Cream Cheese – It give a rich and creamy texture of the dish.
  • 45g Whey protein – Whey protein can improve the texture and consistency of the dish.
  • 20g Diabexy Atta - Diabexy atta is made using low EGL ingredients and the EGL value is 7 instead of other types of atta with EGL values between 50 to 60. It is also made from nuts and seeds that gives it high protein & fiber content.
  • 10g Baking powder - It is widely used in baking and cooking because of its ability to create light, fluffy textures in various baked goods.
  • A Bread Pan - A Bread pan helps to shape the dough during baking.
  • 30g Sour cream – It makes the dish delicious and enjoyable to eat because of its flavor, texture and moisture content.
  • 1 Egg – It provides structure and enhanced flavor to the dish.
  • Xanthan gum – It used for thickening and stablizing to the dish.
  • Salt - Use Salt which has important minerals that our bodies need to stay healthy like NutroActive Mineral Salt.

How To Make Bread At Home

  • First, take 20g of Diabexy Atta in a bowl and add 224g NutroActive Almond flour, add 45g of unflavoured whey protein powder, 10g of baking powder, ½ tsp Xanthan gum and ½ tsp salt.
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • In another bowl, Take 370g mozzarella cheese and add 57g Cream cheese.
  • Microwave both ingredients for 1 minute, then mix well.
  • Add 30g sour cream to the cheese mixture and mix properly.
  • Add the dry mixture to the cheese mixture and combine all the ingredients.
  • Add an egg and make a dough.
  • Take a bread pan, line it with parchment paper, and sprinkle some oil on it.
  • Pour all the batter into it.
  • Bake it for 80 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius in a preheated oven.
  • Your low-glycemic bread is ready.
  • Cut into slices.

It is the best bread for diabetics because its glycemic load is 0.9 per bread. It is best for health and tastes like normal bread.
